MakeImageTools ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website makeimagetools.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our AI image processing service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Authentication is handled securely through Supabase Auth. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

Image Data

When you use our tools, you upload images for processing. These images are sent to our AI processing pipeline (powered by Replicate API) and the results are temporarily stored in Supabase Storage so you can download them.

Payment Information

If you purchase a subscription or credit pack, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full billing details on our servers. We may receive limited information from Stripe such as the last four digits of your card, card brand, and billing email for record-keeping purposes.

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as the number of credits used and tool usage to manage your account and provide the service. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or tracking services.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not serve third-party advertisements.

3. Image Data Handling

Your images are important to us, and we treat them with care:

  • Uploaded images are sent to our AI processing providers solely for the purpose of performing the requested transformation.
  • Processed images are stored temporarily in our secure storage so you can download them.
  • We do not sell, share, or use your images for any purpose other than providing the service you requested.
  • We do not use your uploaded images to train AI models.
  • Temporary image files are automatically deleted after a reasonable retention period.

4. Payment Processing

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. When you make a purchase, your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are subject to Stripe's privacy policy. We never have access to your full payment card details.

We offer subscriptions at $15/month and one-time credit packs. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for the operation of our service:

  • Authentication session cookies: Used to keep you logged in and maintain your session. These are essential for the service to function.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate MakeImageTools:

  • Supabase: Authentication and temporary file storage
  • Replicate: AI image processing
  • Stripe: Payment processing

Each of these providers has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review their policies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and any stored images from our systems within 30 days.

Processed images are stored temporarily to allow you to download them. They are not retained indefinitely and are automatically cleaned up after a reasonable period.

We may retain certain records (such as payment transaction history) as required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS
  • Hashed passwords (never stored in plain text)
  • Secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure
  • PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete your account: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Update your information: Correct or update your account details at any time.
  • Export your data: Request a portable copy of your data.
